BSN Celebrates UN Day

UN Day was a day filled with food, fun, family, and fashion that began with an assembly full of students, teachers, and parents dressed in their attire of choice representing various cultures and nationalities.

There were 45 pictures in which the children had to guess the country based on iconic locations with quite a few that were a bit more tricky, yet our brilliant students were able to guess even those. The assembly ended with the lovely voices of our school choir singing, "Waving Flag" and "Light up the World".
And then, the REAL fun began. The children visited seven different countries around the world and were able to create boomerangs in Australia, kick box in Thailand, learn a Bollywood dance in India, have tea in England (one class even had tea with the "Queen"), make lanterns in Vietnam and create Gaelic art in Ireland. The secondary school students had an intriguing debate on whether the UN was a success or a failure, with the Saxons reigning victorious. In between traveling the students had the chance to relax and try the amazing food from all over the globe prepared by the parents before resuming their travels. A super day relished by all.
