Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) is the world’s largest provider of international education programmes and qualifications for curriculum-aged children.

Over 100 teachers from schools offering English curriculum education across south-east China attended the two-day professional development course, including academic staff from BSN Senior school.  A hugely successful and informative event, the aim of the course was for teachers to learn about updates to CIE syllabuses and exams, whilst sharing a range of approaches to teaching and learning.

CIE offered the following feedback:

‘For the five professional trainers who visited The British School of Nanjing (BSN) for the CIE roadshow, the course could not have gone more smoothly.  Everything we asked for was to hand – indeed, everything was in place before we even asked for it. What’s more, whether dealing with teachers, students or support staff, we could not have been more warmly welcomed.’

‘BSN has some of the finest educational facilities we have ever been in and we envied the students who are lucky enough to work in such a positive environment, where good learning and enjoyment of learning are so positively part of the air that they breathe. For us, it was a privilege to be part of the School, if only for a brief moment.’

‘We wish its teachers and students the best of success for the future – and, particularly, of course, with CIE accredited programmes. From the depth of our hearts, thank you.’

As a school, we are particularly proud of the maturity and friendliness demonstrated by our students, who acted as the true ambassadors for BSN during the event.
