Location

The British School of Nanjing is located South of the city, 30 minutes drive from the centre (Xinjiekou) and commands amazing views of Baijia Lake and its green sorroundings. The school is in close proximity to prominent expatriate residential compounds, and operates 6 bus routes, designed to reduce the time students spend traveling to/from school.

Departments

The school is housed in 2 separate buildings on the same lakeside campus; one catering for our Foundation/Primary students and the other offering more Middle school and specialist classes. Both offer modern and smart interior and exterior environments, with playgrounds and sports facilities that are age appropriate, safe and enjoyable for our children. The facilities on offer match that of any top international school, not only in terms of the quality that is on offer, but also in how it enhances the education we provide.

Classrooms

All classrooms are generously resourced and equipped to meet English National Curriculum standards, making use of state-of-the-art technologies, such as Interactive White Boards, standard in all classrooms. In addition to standard classrooms some specialist classrooms include: Library, ICT room, Music room with 2 practice suites, Science Laboratory, Art Room and a Language Room.

Playgrounds

The British School of Nanjing has well equipped playgrounds, combining a selection of climbing frames, hard-court and rubber surfaces and a clear differentiation between children of different ages.

Sports Facilities

With over 7,000 square metres of open playground and garden areas, students at BSN enjoy the use of a basketball court, junior football pitch, an indoor gym, an infant's play area and use of neighbouring indoor, heated swimming pool and tennis facilities.

Library

BSN has a well resourced library with a beautiful view of Biajia Lake and our sports field. Offering a wide selection of books and resources imported form the UK, the library is also complemented with computers for reference, cinema display and reading areas to encourage the love of books.
