Drama
Drama

Drama at the school offers pupils an additional source of development and is an integral part of the school's commitment to offer each child a broad educational experience. To that end, the school puts on a number of plays and musicals throughout the year. Every child in the school is expected and encouraged to take part.

School Productions

School productions provide students unique opportunities to work in groups and teams and typically involve many staff and parents further strengthening the school's sense of community.

Class Assemblies

At the British School assemblies are held weekly.  Each class from Reception to Year 7 will take turns at presenting a curriculum related assembly to the rest of the school and parents.  It is a great chance for children to showcase what they have learned and helps develop communication, teamwork and self confidence.

BSN Idol

A key aspect of performing arts is to allow students to showcase their own ideas and specific talents.  Where better to see this than our very own "BSN Idol", complete with auditions and judges. Children organise their own singing, dancing, comedic and magic acts to name a few of our memorable performances from this year. Teachers also get involved by either supporting the children or doing their own acts!

Performing Arts Festival

Every year students from the Middle School will have to opportunity to participate in the EAABIS Performing Arts Festival.  The festival is held in a different city in China each year, and it is a great chance for the students to come together with children from other schools around the country.  The festival allows the students to participate in four areas: Drama, Dance, Art, and Music, culminating in a final public performance. It is a great chance for children to explore not only other cities in China, but also these key areas in the performing arts.
