DramaDrama at the school offers pupils an additional source of development and is an integral part of the school's commitment to offer each child a broad educational experience. To that end, the school puts on a number of plays and musicals throughout the year. Every child in the school is expected and encouraged to take part.

School ProductionsSchool productions provide students unique opportunities to work in groups and teams and typically involve many staff and parents - further strengthening the school's sense of community. |
Class AssembliesAt the British School assemblies are held weekly. Each class from Reception to Year 6 will take turns at presenting a curriculum related assembly to the rest of the school and parents. It is a great chance for children to showcase what they have learned and helps develop communication, teamwork and self-confidence.

BSN IdolA key aspect of performing arts is to allow students to showcase their own ideas and specific talents. Where better to see this than our very own "BSN Idol", complete with auditions and judges. Children organise their own singing, dancing, comedic and magic acts to name a few of our memorable performances from this year. Teachers also get involved by either supporting the children or doing their own acts! |
Performing Arts FestivalStudents from The British School of Nanjing have travelled to Beijing and Guangzhou to take part in Performing Arts Festivals for international students from across China. In 2010, the school hosted the Performing Arts Festival, organising a week of activities around a "Jammin' in Jiangning" theme.
