Christmas abroad can sometimes be a hard time for families living far away from home. However, BSN students demonstrated how a Christmas spent in a foreign country can

be a wonderful experience if we are willing to embrace the international culture of Christmas.

BSN students took us for a tour of various songs and traditions from all around the world.

In one night, we journeyed in Hawaii, South Africa, Australia, Europe and many other places while embracing the overriding theme that makes Christmas so wonderful, peace, giving and time spent with family.

As I watched our international body of students singing, dancing and smiling, I quickly realized that I was lucky to be here witnessing 21 different countries merging together as one happy family.

As educators it is our job to make sure that children learn but on this night they were teaching us that family and happiness are always around if we are willing to see the world through a child’s eyes and forget about our arbitrary boarders and differences.

So, to all of our students and families, thanks for another wonderful experience and merry Christmas to you and yours!
