For the past few weeks the children have been busy learning traditional Christmas songs for the Christmas Concert held in the school last week.

Performing to a full house is a daunting experience for anyone and obviously we want to ensure that the children know their songs.  Mr Shephard did a wonderful job to choreograph the children’s entrance and exit from the stage.

In a bold move, he structured ‘Good King Wenceslas’ to involve the whole school and to increase the instrumental accompaniment with each verse.  This song in particular will, I’m sure, set a new benchmark for future productions.  The children looked resplendent in their uniforms, with splashes of colour from hats and scarves, and all gave a super performance.

Thanks to Mr McVey for his piano accompaniment and to the P&F for providing a bar on the evening.  Frank Hossack was able to video the performance and some of this footage will feature in the video yearbook at the end of the school year.
