We were very proud today as BSN students participated in the Spring Festival Assembly. It was amazing to see just how much our students have learned in such a short period of time.

Students from Pre-Nursery all the way to Year 7 sang traditional songs and acted out traditional stories (As well as some not-so-traditional songs and stories).

We learned the legend of the Chinese Zodiac and how the poor cat was tricked out of being one of the 12 animals in representation.

Students in the upper years taught us how to sing some of China’s newest pop songs and how to “rock” at Karaoke.

The festivities were closed with an amazing traditional lion dance performed by a local troupe. Many students were awed by the performance and the thundering sound of the Chinese percussion instruments that accompanied the dancers. Other students just thought the lions were cute and opted for a chance to pet the brightly colored beasts of New Years.
