Science and Engineering week started off in a blaze, literally.

Monday morning’s school assembly was led by Mr Gregor Polson (Middle school coordinator and Chemist). Mr Polson introduced the idea behind Engineering and Science Week along with the history of Earth Day.

Mr Polson then introduced BSN students to the Magic of Chemistry, complete with flames, magic color changing liquid, and a secret message revealed through fire!

The students were awed by the displays with many “Ohhhhhs and Ahhhhhhs uttered out in the crowed.

It was a great start as students geared up for more in-depth topics throughout the week covering weather, gravity, plants, movement, energy, soil, fossils and even rockin’ crystals…what? Rockin’ crystals???
