PhD in Biochemistry and genetics from the University of Liverpool. BSc in Biochemistry from the University of Bath. BSc in Mathematics and Physics from the Open University. PGCE from UCLAN.
I have always had a love of mathematics and science and chose to study biochemistry at the University of Bath in England. I then went on to further study at the University of Liverpool where I gained my Ph.D. in genetics and biochemistry. After studying, I worked at a hospital, screening for genetic disorders. When my children were little, I studied part time for a degree in mathematics and physics. I have worked as a teacher of maths and science for more than 10 years and have experience as a university lecturer, in addition to teaching in schools and colleges. In addition to maths and science, my hobbies include ballet, violin, crochet and Pokemon!
